UPCOMING ACTIVITIES:

The Ladies Aid extends an invitation to and will welcome any ladies who would like to join our team.

Sunday, August 3rd, COMMUNION SUNDAY: It is our custom to observe the Sacrament of Holy Communion on the first Sunday
of each month as well as at other times appointed by the Pastor and Deacons. On those Sundays we also welcome the offerings
of canned goods which we collect for the Cape Ann Food Pantry. They are received in the barrel placed at the rear of the
sanctuary. Also, an offering plate is placed on the table at the rear of the sanctuary on those Sundays in which we welcome
monetary contributions for the Deacons' Fund. This fund is used by the Deacons to meet special needs in the community and its
recipients are held in confidence and are known only to the Deacons.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:  Anyone who may be interested in serving as an usher or greeter or as a lay reader during
worship services or any person willing to provide light refreshments following a worship service is invited to sign up on one of
the lists provided downstairs in the Vestry.  These are great opportunities to take an active part in our corporate fellowship
without making a long-term commitment.  If you would like to receive an email notification concerning upcoming church-related
activities, there are sign-up sheets on a clipboard at the rear of the Sanctuary or you may email your request to Janice Lufkin
Shea at 1leeway@verizon.net

Ministry Opportunity:  Coffee hour is an important part of our Sunday experience as we share in a time of fellowship and a
deepening of our relationships. It would be great if we had someone in charge of coordinating sign ups, a hostess perhaps.  Don’
t want to coordinate but want to help, please sign up for a Sunday in fellowship hall. It doesn't need to be an elaborate breakfast,
just a few treats and coffee. Not sure what it is all about? Please speak to Rev. Mike. This is an important ministry and we would
like to see it continue.

They bylaw team will be meeting one last time to review and incorporate the recent changes
suggested by the congregation. If you have questions or comments you are more than welcome to
join them on July 29th at 4PM.  They want to hear from you!

Peace and Love,
Rev. Mike on behalf of the bylaw team
